SteelBlue's Open Door: 2024 Third Quarter Review
There is never a dull moment at SteelBlue, and I’m excited to catch you up on everything happening since our last review. For several months, the Team has been focused on perfecting the 1270 Series Boat & RV door, which was launched at the Self-Storage Association's Fall Conference. The conference was a huge success, and had many customers talk to me about how this was our best show on record and that they are excited about our progress and how far we have come in such a short period of time. I believe this testament has come with time, showing that we are committed to doing what we say we will do. We are excited to be tapping into the Boat & RV market and looking forward to the opportunity to continue to grow our product portfolio to be your preferred door partner of choice.
While we are on the topic, I’d like to share other exciting developments the Product Development Team is working on. Later this month, we’re set to complete wind load testing, on both our 9530 Series Storage Door and our 1270 Boat & RV Door, a crucial step in adding wind-rated doors to both our storage and commercial product portfolios. Be on the lookout for more information about the anticipated test results and when this door will hit the market.
Next, I would like to inform you of some organizational changes and additions to the Team. As a company that truly lives by our core values, the organizational changes we implemented exemplify how we continuously evolve and improve to ultimately serve you better. Starting at the top, Bray Allen has assumed the role of Chief Product Officer, where he will focus on expanding our product capabilities to better meet your project needs. I am excited to see Bray excel in this position and drive SteelBlue's product development forward in the market. Steve Weltmer has assumed the role of Chief Operations Officer and will continue to oversee our Supply Chain department. I have complete confidence, with Steve's background, that he will streamline the day-to-day manufacturing operations and drive our operations teams to new levels of excellence as we continue to grow. Further, we have had some well-deserved promotions within the team. Brad Astolos is now the VP of Engineering, BJ Grandinetti is now the Manager of Project Services, and Ryan Zombek is now the Manager of Pricing & Estimating. I am proud of these individuals and their contributions in building our company and wish them continued success and making SteelBlue better every day. Lastly, we have welcomed more talent to our Team, including Dalton Ray as Manager of Hardware &Infrastructure, Mark Massengale as Western Region Sales Manager, Rude Granville as our Plant Safety Manager, and Daniel Simpson as an Estimator. I encourage you to sign up for our company newsletter to be the first to receive company updates.
As you can see, our organization continues to expand and grow, and I am deeply humbled by how far we have come in just a short period of time. This month marks our 3rd anniversary, and I always take the time to reflect on our growth and success. Considering our humble beginnings in a garage, I never imagined that the company would be where it is today. However, with the right talent and product at the right time, we have achieved remarkable progress compared to where we were even a year ago. In the past year, we have made significant changes, such as transitioning from the 7530 Series to the 9530 Series to align with the industry standard profile, expanding to a much larger manufacturing plant to increase capacity, growing several departments, launching the 1270 Series, and more. The passion and determination of this team are unparalleled, and I am incredibly proud of every one of them. We have accomplished so much in such a short time, which is a testament to our collective efforts, and we eagerly anticipate what the future holds.
As we come to an end of 2024, we thank you for your continued partnership, support, and interest in SteelBlue. Building Tomorrow, Today… We Win Together!
