Chief Operating Officer
Steve Weltmer is the Chief Operating Officer for SteelBlue Building Components. He is a resident of Canton, Ohio where he lives with his wife and teenage triplets. His goals are to provide a seamless and cost-effective transition for the customer from PO (Purchase Order) to CO (Completed Order) by focusing on SteelBlue’s Core Values… Safety, Transparency, Collaboration, Inclusion and Evolution. Building on the formula… “Winning” = AMC+U (Attitude, Motivation, Commitment and Urgency is part of his driving force for success.
Steve’s work history stems from Production Supervisor, Plant Manager and Purchasing to executive level Manufacturing, Sourcing and Supply Chain. Working with adjacent departments, effectively communicating with employees, key suppliers and customers has been a key to success, specifically in improving safety, efficiency and quality as well as overall employee and supplier satisfaction.
Steve is a former Football Player from West Liberty State University and has a BSM from Indiana Wesleyan University. He enjoys coaching his son’s Football and Lacrosse teams as well as traveling to watch his daughters perform on a Regional Competition Dance Team. When he has free time, you will find Steve golfing with his family and friends as well as supporting his local community.
