SteelBlue's Open Door: 2023 Third Quarter Review

The team and I are back from the SSA Fall trade show, and I’m excited to tell you that we continue to see significant growth in the self-storage industry. We are also pleased to be a part of this growth factor for the industry, as we announced at the show, partnerships with PTI Security Systems and StorageDefender, which will advance SteelBlue into a technological evolution. I encourage you to read one of our latest articles by Brett Barber to learn more about these partnerships and how they could help grow your business. Not only did we launch these partnerships at the show, but we also released our 9530 Series door that features the industry standard panel profile, new bracket design and tensioner, along with shorter guides and wear strip that allow the door to be even quieter. As exciting as the trade show and the announcement of those two partnerships are, I’d like to share more of what has been happening within SteelBlue over the past few months.

Last quarter, we announced the move to our new manufacturing location in Georgetown, KY which is affording us the capacity to keep up with the demand, expand into new product offerings, and continue to grow our manufacturing team. I’m proud to say that we now have 136 Team Members working here at SteelBlue…a 25% increase from last quarter. This larger manufacturing footprint has provided the needed space to add four additional new pieces of equipment to further support our incredible growth as we head into 2024. With this new equipment, we are developing additional product lines, that will include commercial products and a new boat and RV storage door solution. We anticipate those products will be available in the first half of 2024.

With this continued growth, we have many new faces within the organization, and I’d like to introduce you to some. First, we have Bart DalDosso, Senior Accountant, and Sandy Lumley, Billing Manager, who will be helping us with financial analysis and managing all billing activities.  Next, we are happy to have Liz Zavilla join us as our Executive Administrative Assistant, where she will support in keeping the office organized and running efficiently, affording our Executive Team the time to focus on our strategic initiatives to further expand SteelBlue.  Lastly, Mike Preziosi joined our team as a Field Services Manager, where he will develop best practices and alleviate any field issues while identifying areas of opportunity where we can improve.

We continue to make huge strides with technological advancements within the organization. However, in full transparency, and true to one of our core values, we have decided to reprioritize the launch of our customer portal to early 2024 to ensure we provide you with the best tool possible. By doing so, we can enhance this platform further to deliver real-time data and order progress, the ability to upload shop drawings, view quotes and orders, and view the status of your project deliveries at any time. We will continue providing updates on this platform and encourage you to sign up for our newsletter to get further information.

The team and I look forward to the remainder of 2023 and are excited to push ahead in 2024 with dedication and commitment to you, our Customer.  Again, we thank you for your partnership, support, and continued interest in SteelBlue. Building Tomorrow, Today…We Win Together!
