Meet Jean! Our Senior Buyer brings energy and enthusiasm to our Supply Chain team. Since joining us in 2022, Jean has embraced the unpredictability of supply chain management and loves collaborating with teammates across departments.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself? Where you grew up, interests, other bits about your life.

Western Pennsylvania born and raised. When I am not working, I love to attend concerts, travel anywhere I can and Crew Chief for Jack at the drag strip.

What role do you have at SteelBlue? When did you start? What is your day to day like?

I work in supply chain as a senior buyer.  I started in November of 2022.  I love the unpredictability of my days!

What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about your job?

A job in Supply Chain give me the opportunity to interact with many different departments within the company.

SteelBlue has several core values: Safety, Collaboration, Transparency, Inclusion,and Evolution. Can you tell us which one resonates with you the most and why?

Collaboration. It is always important to know how my decisions and actions affect my teammates as well as talk through any challenges and concerns. As SteelBlue continues to grow and evolve, we couldn’t do it without the collaboration within the company.

What is the company culture like for you at SteelBlue?

I feel we have a very strong team that lives our core values everyday and have fun doing so.

Can you tell us about a moment of pride that you felt while working for the company?

There is something to be proud of everyday. The incredible growth that has happened is amazing!

If you could swap roles with anyone at SteelBlue for a day, who would it be and why?

I would swap roles with Matt Smith, GM of Operations. I would love to spend more time in the manufacturing facility.

Which work benefit or perk is your favorite and why?

I learn something new everyday and get paid to do so!

What are some fun facts about you that people should know about?

Music and seeing the world are my biggest passions! I also love cars and drag racing - let's push the pedal to the metal!
